For individuals facing hunger, receiving a plate of food can evoke feelings of dignity, respect, and care. It reinforces the idea that they are not alone in their struggles and this simple act of sharing a meal can uplift spirits, restore hope, and foster a sense of community.
Communities thrive when members support one another, and sharing food plays a crucial role in this process. Today we fed approximately 2,500 people from the communities of Lavender Hill, Tafelsig, Milnerton, Retreat, Khayelitsha, Vrygrond and Parkwood taking the total mouths fed to date to 251,200. We would to to thank all those that contributed both monetary and with their time.
