Simplicity of success

We often tend to associate success with personal accomplishments and material gains. We focus all our time for many years chasing after material gains not understanding that true success extends beyond individual achievements and encompasses the positive impact one can have on society. It includes the ability to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to making a meaningful impact to those in need. A Hadith in Bukhari clearly states that Abdullah bin Amr (RA) said, ’A man asked the Prophet (May Peace and Blessings be upon Him), “What Islamic traits are the best?” The Prophet said, ”Feed the people, and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not know”. When one reflects on the Hadith, it is clear that success in both this life and the next can merely be achieved by showing kindness and compassion to those in our families and our communities which are in need.

Yesterday we managed to feed approximately 3,250 people in our surrounding communities taking the total mouths fed to date to 153,250, which included Lavender Hill, Khayalitsha, Delft, Milnerton, Vrygrond, Manenberg, Salt River and Parkwood. We want to thank everyone for your contributions both those that contributed in cash and those volunteering their time. May the Almighty bless you with the best of health and grant you increased wealth.

Help us spread the awareness to feed those in need in order for us to make a positive impact to achieve both personal and collective success. Let us embrace the simplicity of feeding those in need, which will allow us to develop a culture of compassion and kindness, leading to a brighter and more successful future for ourselves and those in your communities. Together we can make a difference to those in need.
