Water a source of life

Today we faced a significant challenge by not having clean water available for cooking, but through perseverance and planning we did not succumb to this obstacle by cancelling the cooking. Although one takes for granted the blessings we are provided on a daily basis from our Creator, it’s moments like these that makes is reflect on these blessings.

Communities this weekend throughout the Cape Flats are either experiencing low water pressure or no water at all. This has significantly impacted our lives, however as the less fortunate has been impacted by having no water, we raise funds to provide bottled drinking water on the day with their warm meal.

We managed to collect 750 litres in containers for the cooking, which was used to make both soya and lamb Akni. Today we fed 2,000 people of the communities from Khayelitsha, Vrygrond, Egoli and Parkwood, May this food nourish them, provide relief from hunger and fill their minds with positivity.

We would like to thank the team, the sponsors and all those that assisted in this feeding initiative, May your lives be filled with good health and increased blessings.

“Nothing is softer, gentler or even more flexible than water, yet with these characteristics nothing is able to resist it.” May we reflect on our character and become gentle and humble ourselves to assist the impoverished and destitute.
