Milestone of 50,000 meals

We thank the Almighty for opening our eyes to assisting those in our communities in need and to be a channel that people can use to give back to the impoverished and destitute. What a journey it has been this far, we are extremely humbled by the many people that have assisted in contributing towards all our initiatives. We thank each and everyone of our sponsors, the team and the people in the communities assisting us with distribution, without each one of you this milestone would not have been possible to achieve. May each of you be blessed with good health, increased wealth in order that we together can continue this journey together for many years.

As we look back at each initiative, many times we have stretched ourselves with a target thinking it’s impossible, yet every time we are amazed by how things just come together in the end. It is so true that a good intention is key to obtaining the assistance we always need from the Almighty. As the saying goes we do our best and the Almighty does the rest.

Yesterday we fed 2,500 people in the communities of Delft, Manenberg, Lavender Hill, Pooke Road and the Vlei informal settlements, as well as Khayelitsha and Vrygrond taking the total mouths fed to date to 51,450.

As Nelson Mandela said, “Poverty is not an accident, like slavery and apartheid it is man-made and can be removed by actions of human beings.” May our community that we built continue to grow despite all the challenges we may face in our country and provide hope to people suffering from the adversity of poverty on a daily basis.

We humbly thank each one of you for your support, together we can achieve more. See below some pictures of yesterdays feeding.
