One sits and ponder regarding the poverty and inequality in our country. How can a country and continent being the largest food producers in the world have so much people starving of hunger on a daily basis? Clearly it takes change to make change, which starts with inspiring one another to help humanity by serving the creation of the creator.
As Mahatma Gandhi said, “It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result”.
This profound quote teaches us that an intention alone is not sufficient, but that it should be followed by action. It takes change to make change. Yesterday we manage to provide food to 1,000 people and additionally the team in Belhar managed to feed 300 people taking the total mouths fed to 11,625 mouths fed to date.
We would like to thank the Almighty for the strength, to all our sponsors and the Falaah Foundation team for making this all possible. We are able to achieve more if we work together.
Below are some pictures of yesterday’s feeding of Beitul Aman and CPOA Silvertown Old Age Homes, the feeding at Pooke Road and The Vlei informal settlements and the feeding in Lentegeur where kids went door to door to distribute food to families in the area.
