Milestones and Moments

As we reach the milestone of 10,000 mouths fed, we reflect on the moments that led us to achieving this milestone. At commencement a very important moment was the good intention made to serve humanity which blessed everything that led to us achieving this milestone.

As we celebrate feeding 10,325 people to date we do so by showing our appreciation for what we have been granted and being grateful to the Almighty for allowing us the opportunity to serve his creation. In celebration we fed 500 mouths, three children homes: Leliebloem; St George’s; and St Michael’s, as well as the informal settlements in Athlone namely: Pooke Road; and the Vlei.

So what are some of the memorable moments that formed part of this milestone? We managed to provide 100 families with food for a week, provided comfort to 530 women for 3 months by providing them with 12,640 sanitary pads, established a associated branch in Belhar to feed the Belhar, Valhalla Park and Blikkies Dorp communities, established relationships with the elderly, abused women and children through our feeding initiatives and embarked on raising funds to develop our online platform to assist with the inequality in our country.

So what is more important? The milestone or the moment? We believe both are equally important as the moments provide substance to the milestones which are a snapshot at a point in time. This milestone allows us to learn from the past and prepare for the road ahead as it is not the endgame that matters most but the moments that got us to where we are.

We are sincerely thankful to all our sponsors, family and friends for all your support, it allows us as a collective to make a difference by providing nourishment for those in need. Below are a few pictures of today’s initiative.
